Day Activity/Description
Day 1
DEPART US

Depart the US on your overnight flight(s) to England.

Day 2
ARRIVE LONDON · BOARD M.S. ANDREA IN DARTMOUTH

Arrive at London’s Heathrow Airport, where you will be met and escorted to Dartmouth by private coach. Dartmouth is a coastal town in Devon, in the southwest of England, known for its castles, maritime history, regattas and beautiful gardens, including the Royal Avenue Gardens in the town center. Have lunch on your own, and some time to stroll. In the later afternoon board the MS Andrea for your cruise, beginning with your Welcome Reception and Dinner. D MS Andrea

Day 3
ALDERNEY ISLAND ·GUERNSEY ISLAND

Cruise south to the tiny island of Alderney and its only town, St. Anne, where most of the island’s 2,400 residents live. Alderney pledged allegiance to England in the 13th century but is closer to France, whose coast is only eight miles away. With its tiny squares, quiet cobbled lanes and pastel cottages, St. Anne has the charm of a village in Normandy. Return to the ship and enjoy lunch on board while you cruise to St. Peter on the Island of Guernsey, known as the “Island of Flowers.” There an optional drive will take you from St. Peter Port, with its colorful terraces and tiered gardens, to the house where Victor Hugo lived for 14 years. On the drive you will also see Les Pres de Jerbourg, a beautiful garden in St. Martin’s Parish outstanding views of the sea. B/L/D MS Andrea

NOTE: Shore excursions on this cruise are optional. A list of excursions and prices will be made available well before departure.

Day 4
SARK ISLAND · JERSEY ISLAND

Sark, about 80 miles south of the English coast, was Europe’s last feudal estate. It is a car-free zone where the only vehicles are horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, tractors or battery-powered buggies. Hence the island is known for its tranquility, as well as its rugged beauty and picturesque coastline. An optional excursion will take you to the gardens of La Seigneurie, the official home of the government. From the gardens you have a panoramic view of the coastal scenery. Have lunch on board while cruising to the island of Jersey, where you may explore the town of St. Helier independently or join an excursion into the island’s rich history and natural beauty. Though the parapets of Mont Orgeuil Castle bespeak centuries of battles and struggle, Jersey, like Sark, is now known as a peaceful and tranquil place. B/L/D MS Andrea

Day 5
ST. MALO, FRANCE * MONT ST. MICHEL

First a monastic settlement and a fort, and then the island home to the fierce privateer-pirates known as the Corsairs, St. Malo is now permanently attached to the coast of Brittany. Inside its walls you will find La Ville Intra-Muros, a lively town of galleries, shops and cafés. An optional excursion takes you to the nearby 12th-century Benedictine monastery of Mont St. Michel, perched dramatically atop a granite outcropping. Return to the ship for dinner and a convivial evening, followed by an overnight cruise to the Isles of Scilly. B/L/D M.S. Andrea

Day 6
ISLES OF SCILLY, ENGLAND

Disembark after breakfast on St. Mary’s Island, one of the few inhabited spots among the 55 Isles of Scilly. The Isles of Scilly are scattered off the southwest coast of England, not far from Falmouth. On St. Mary’s, less than three miles across, visit the museum in the village of Hugh Town. The ship will also stop at Tresco, where you will have the opportunity to walk along lovely traffic-free lanes to the subtropical Abbey Gardens, home to over 20,000 exotic plants. Tonight you will cross the Celtic Sea to Waterford, Ireland. B/L/D MS Andre

Day 7
WATERFORD, IRELAND

Waterford, given the name “windy fjord” by the Vikings, is the oldest city in Ireland. An important maritime and shipbuilding port for centuries, it is now synonymous with Waterford Crystal, which has been manufactured in the city since 1783. From the landmark 1,000-year-old Reginald’s Tower, explore the city’s sights, or take an optional excursion across the Irish countryside to Mount Congreve, a spectacular 70-acre woodland garden on the banks of the River Suir. This privately owned garden is particularly stunning in the late spring when the grounds are awash in color. Return to the ship in the late afternoon for dinner and your overnight cruise to Falmouth, England. B/L/D MS Andrea

Day 8
FALMOUTH & CORNWALL, ENGLAND

Sail into the great harbor of Falmouth, the deepest in Western Europe, for a day in Cornwall. Falmouth, known for its deep harbor, offers attractive shops, cafes and a harbor footpath. You may want to explore Pendennis Castle, built in the 16th century by King Henry VIII, or the Cornwall Maritime Museum. A choice of optional excursions will take you to one of two of the renowned gardens that flourish in the mild Cornish air: Trebah, a 26-acre ravine garden of rare and exotic plants, or Trelissick Gardens, an extensive park and woodland known for its beautiful paths and wide range of plant specimens. Tonight enjoy your Farewell Reception and Dinner aboard the MS Andrea and sail along England’s south coast to Dartmouth. B/L/D MS Andrea

Day 9
DISEMBARK AT DARTMOUTH · RETURN TO U.S.

Disembark after breakfast and travel by private coach to London’s Heathrow Airport for your return flight to the U.S.
