Traverse the rivers and canals from Amsterdam to Bruges aboard the deluxe 24-guest barge Merlijn; disembark to cycle about 25 miles a day, on seven-speed hybrid bikes, along the network of routes in these bicycle-friendly and invitingly flat countries. At the end of the day look forward to a three-course dinner with your cycling companions, a convivial evening, and a peaceful sleep aboard. You have the option any day of taking a break from cycling, cruising the route on the Merlijn instead. Your guide will lead you into Amsterdam, Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges, cities rich in history, art, and architecture. You’ll also become acquainted with the Flemish countryside as you cruise and cycle through its towns and gentle vistas. You may add two days in Amsterdam on your own, at the height of the tulip season, before embarking.
